Shortly before the completion of the new studios under the shed roof area, the Old slaughterhouse another high-ranking visit: State Secretary Andrea Lindlohr from the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing, visited the construction site of the old slaughterhouse, the conversion and extension of which was made possible by a grant from her ministry. Visiting the site for the second time, she was visibly impressed by the significant progress of the construction work. Lindlohr particularly emphasised the close and smooth cooperation with the local tradesmen, which played a key role in enabling the work to be completed in a short time and at comparatively low cost.

Another focus of the inspection, which was attended by the team of architects and the construction companies, as well as numerous representatives of local politics, was the presentation of the planned residential development on the northern flat roof of the existing building. Under the working title „Living on the roof“ Alina Koger and Mats Schmeling presented the recently completed feasibility study. The concept met with great interest and was discussed in detail afterwards.
