The community rooms of the Adventist Church in Karlsruhe no longer meet the usage requirements and are to be modernised. There is also a desire for barrier-free access to the community rooms and the other floors of the building, which contain flats. The listed status of the front building must be taken into account during the planning process.
\nInternal circulation between the entrance floor and the first floor, where the community rooms are located, is planned. In order not to compromise the listed building status, it makes sense to accommodate new rooms - such as the ancillary rooms in the foyer - in inserted wooden structures.
\nThe design also envisages that the existing fa\u00e7ade of the front building will be exposed again and an atrium will be created between the front and intermediate building.
