Situated in a central city location, along an inner-city green corridor, the care centre addresses the architectural and functional aspects of caring for elderly people and those suffering from dementia. The new building should not look like a foreign body, but should give the impression of having been here for a long time and allow the residents to experience the play of the seasons and the wind and weather from their beds through the tall trees that have been preserved. The building lines, the entrance situation and the height development react sensitively to the location. While the building on the wide R\u00fcppurrer Stra\u00dfe is six storeys high, its four storeys on Luisenstra\u00dfe are set back from the street so as not to block the sun from the neighbours. Equipped with an underground duct and controlled ventilation with heat recovery, the highly insulated building fulfils the highest ecological standards.<\/p>\n
