{"id":4493,"date":"2023-07-28T10:12:36","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T10:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/klimagerechte-architektur.de\/?post_type=projekte&#038;p=2927"},"modified":"2026-08-04T13:07:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T11:07:05","slug":"old-slaughterhouse-pforzheim","status":"publish","type":"projekte","link":"https:\/\/klimagerechte-architektur.de\/en\/projekte\/alter-schlachthof-pforzheim\/","title":{"rendered":"Regeneration for cultural and creative use, the Old Slaughterhouse, Pforzheim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of the Gewerbekultur co-operative is to develop the derelict site of the Old Slaughterhouse in Pforzheim in a socially responsible, environmentally friendly and collaborative manner. The aim is to develop it into a vibrant, eco-friendly and community-oriented space through a mix of commercial premises, studio spaces, social facilities and inclusive housing models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To this end, a plan for phased development has been drawn up. The first step in this development is the refurbishment and restoration of the existing building, which dates from the 1950s. As an initial use, even before a local development plan is adopted, the first creative and commercial uses are intended to breathe new life into the Old Slaughterhouse and serve as a pilot scheme for future uses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This interim use concept envisages the construction of studio spaces within the former abattoir building, including the refurbishment and restoration of exhibition and access areas, which are to be used regularly for various events (including Schmuck+, Open Studios, fashion shows, workshops), as well as the implementation of a new, comprehensive fire safety plan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gewerbekultur e.G. co-operative focuses on art and cultural outreach in Pforzheim. Through existing interim uses of the existing property and temporary initiatives, it has already been able to showcase its approaches and concepts to a wide public, receiving an enthusiastic response and concrete enquiries regarding its use. The initiative offers young graduates from Pforzheim\u2019s creative training centres, in particular, the prospect of staying in the city long-term, whilst providing the city of Pforzheim with a hub for creative activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":5026,"menu_order":0,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"projektart":[40,303,304,307,308,309,311],"class_list":["post-4493","projekte","type-projekte","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","projektart-generalplanung","projektart-industrie-verwaltung","projektart-staedtebau-quartiersplanung","projektart-wohnungsbau","projektart-innenraum","projektart-transformation-alt-neu","projektart-highlight"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
