The new toilet blocks are nearing completion and mark an important milestone in the ongoing construction project at the Rainbow School in Giessen. As the previous sanitary facilities were being demolished, the new sanitary facilities were deliberately installed first. This meant that there was no need for an interim solution during the entire construction period and school operations could continue without interruption.
We placed particular emphasis on sustainable construction and the resource-conserving use of materials. The old bricks are not disposed of, but carefully recycled and reused. This refilling not only gives the new building a historical charm, but also adds an aesthetically and ecologically convincing component to the climate-friendly timber construction.
