This year's office excursion took us to Venice for the Biennale Architetura 2025.

This year's exhibition „Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.“ invites different kinds of intelligence to collectively rethink the built environment. The Latin title „Intelligens“ contains the word „gens“ („people“) and invites us to experiment beyond today's limited focus on AI and digital technologies.

“In times of adaptation, architecture takes centre stage and must lead the way with optimism. It must draw on all forms of intelligence - natural, artificial, collective. In times of adaptation, architecture must transcend generations and disciplines - from the sciences to the arts. It must rethink the concept of authorship and become more inclusive by learning from science. Architecture must become as flexible and dynamic as the world we are designing for today.“

Inspiring ideas, impressive exhibitions and meeting colleagues and friends made our excursion a real Dolce Vita!
